🧼Monday 17th November🧼Strictly Come Dancing Updates!!
Firstly, I give my apologies for not posting last week....so busy and my really old mobile phone decided to give up lol
We have had eliminated couples Harry & Karen left in week 7 (the week I didn't post lol) who was in the dance off with La Voix & Aljaž who were saved. Vicky and Kai got amazing comments for their Tango last week , judges saying the dance of the night and the series and she was tipped for the final!!
How things change quickly as Vicky & Kai were unfortunately the next couple to be Eliminated after being on the dance off with Balvinder & Julian!! It was Balvinder & Julian's 3rd time in the dance off so you would have thought they would go but the judges saved them which is great to be saved again. I was surprised that they were in the dance off as I really enjoyed their American Smooth to song 'My Guy' by Mary Wells.
But poor Vicky & Kai- they are such a good partnership and I really think she/they could have got to the final and even won it!! I think it was this particular dance that Vicky struggled with- They did a Jive to Girls Aloud song 'Sound Of the Underground' which is a great song, but I think maybe didn't work for the Jive and lots of people are saying the song was too fast for the Jive and I think it was too fast for Vicky. even though she got some constructive criticism and less positive comments and a lower score. I didn't vote for her because I liked some other couples better and I thought she would be safe as she's popular but she wasn't.
She was quite overwhelmed and was upset bless her.
George's & Alexis's Rhumba to song 'Somewhere Only We Know' by Keane / Lily Allen was beautiful and a lovely tribute to his mum.
Karen & Carlos were brilliant too. They did a American smooth to song 'You Don't Own Me' by SAYGRACE
I thought Alex & Johannes Waltz to song 'Weekend In New England' by Barry Manilow, was great and think she was so much more comfortable doing this dance than the one last week. I think they can get to the final so she's definitely one of my faves.
La Voix & Aljaz Couple's choice to song 'Don't Rain On My Parade' by Barbra Streisand (from Funny Girl)was fantastic and liked that the dance started with Chris and how he became La Viox, and it was a good tribute to Chris's late mother and his very supportive loving father and al his family as a lot were in the audience.
Amber & Nikita seem to be getting better and better and you could see how she enjoyed the Paso Doble to song 'Dream On' by Aerosmith and was a dance she really wanted to do!
Lewis & Katya's Tango to song '12 To 12' by Sombr was good too and had great comments in general apart from his left arm is a little too forward while became a funny joke lol

We are off to Blackpool next week baby!!!!
