🧼Monday 24th November🧼 Strictly News - Blackpool!!
Well what a weekend at the iconic Ballroom!!
I love Blackpool myself as went there a lot as a child because my relative lived in Lancashire, my dad was from there and still have relatives in the county. So many memories in Blackpool and Lancashire as a whole. I like seeing Blackpool on the telly as it gets a bad reputation there, as its quite run down now. I really wish to have been up the blackpool tower (although I'm not sure about the heights of the tower of the big dipper lol) and wish I had seen inside the tower ballroom- only ever seen it from the outside before. Maybe one day I will with my partner as we met on the dancefloor! lol
It was lovely to see La Voix in the audience as we knew they couldn't perform this week but it was sad to hear she, Chris & Aljaz have had to withdraw from the competition altogether sadly. such a shame as Chris and his alter ego La Voix desperately wanted to get to and perform at Blackpool.
Also another big shock was the announcement that there was no dance off and nobody would be leaving this week! All the contestants/couples were shocked and pleased about that news.
Every couple was brilliant this week but my favourites were Alex & Johannes with their couple's choice to ‘History Repeating -Shirley Bassey & Look At Me’ - Geri Halliwell. I've just read she performed with a dislocated rib bless her. Hope her injury doesn't get worse as we don't want another celebrity having to withdraw.
Lewis & Katya were fab as usual, and got four 10's!
The performance that really stood out for me was Karen & Carlos's Pas0 Doble - 'O Fortuna' - Carmina Burana The passion, anger, energy and everything about the performance was just brilliant!! They scored very well. they were 1 point behind Lewis and Katya. I think Karen and Carlos deserved 40 personally, but Craig didn't give a 10!!
Balvinder and Julien were good but scored the least, so think they will be the next to leave unfortunately. you could tell how much it meant to them both dancing in Blackpool.
Amber & Nikita, George & Alexis were really good too.
I think anyone could be in the final to be honest, as they have all improved!

- George Clarke and Alexis Warr (9+10+10+10) = 39
There was a public vote this week despite the no dance off/nobody leaving so the scores from this week and next week will be carried over to the following week!
