🧼Monday 27th October🧼Strictly Come Dancing Update
Well last week was full of surprises where Strictly was concerned......OMG Tess Daly & Claudia Winkleman - the presenters of the show are stepping down after 21 years for Tess and 15 years for Claudia including her time as presenter of It Takes Two for One series which I'd forgotten about lol Of course Tess has been there since the start 2004 with Sir Bruce Forsyth.
We are going to miss them both but they are there for the rest of the series and the Christmas special. we are all wondering if they will return to the dancefloor themselves taking part in the show maybe??!!
My favourites in Icons week were Vicky & Kai's couples choice performance to Cheryl's solo track 'Fight For This Love' I'm a big Girls Aloud fan and love Cheryl's solo stuff especially this song which she bought out out after then husband Ashley Cole's infidelity. Vicky was dressed in a similar outfit that Cheryl wore in the music video and in various performances of that song. Kai looked great too, those hats with the elastic round the chin were probably difficult to dance in lol
I loved how they stood on the stairs at the start of the show and did the classic Cheryl salute she used to do when a judge on the X factor..
The performance was so good and so fast, so much chorography for Vicky to learn. Think she may have made a slight mistake at the start when her arm was in the wrong place but she realised and from then on she was amazing and made she was doing the moves right. They got great scores!
Alex and Johannes foxtrot to Dolly Parton's song ' Here you come Again' was lovely. These two are becoming my faves for the final or even the win!!
La Voix & Aljaz were brilliant (so much better than the week before as that performance wasn't great! They were shocked to get through)
La Voix as Cher was good, they did a salsa to song 'Believe' and was great and had all Cher's mannerisms.
Lewis and Katya are good and although I like them very much, I think his dance experience could be affecting the public vote a bit like it did with Amber and Nikita this week. Amber & Nikita were shockingly in the dance off!! Again she has dancing experience which isn't her fault but i think some pf the public think she shouldn't be int the competition which isn't fair on her as she isn't an experienced Ballroom or Latin dancer and all the styles of dance are difficult to learn. I'll be honest I don't vote for her or Lewis but that's not because I don't like them, i just like to see dancer novices to improve etc
Glad Balvinder & Julian got through and weren't in the bottom two or dance off after being in it twice before, so that's good. She was defiantly better than last week and I enjoyed their performance and her as Beyonce - they did a Quick Step to song 'Texas Hold'em'

After the dance off between Amber & Nikita and Tony & Lauren. They both danced their routines again the judges all voted to save Amber & Nikita. Anton had the casting vote but it wasn't needed. he said he would have chosen to save the same couple as the other judges. I loved all the judge's and couple's costumes.
Halloween week next week!!! Costumes are going to be amazing!!!
